The 2nd Beenleigh Yatala Chamber of Commerce race day was worth the 21 month wait with a great crowd in attendance. The inaugural race day for the Chamber was in September 2006 with the 2007 event cancelled due to Equine Infuenza.
Guests enjoyed the company of Brisbane's Leading Jockey Jim Byrne between his busy riding schedule and he provided guests with some insight into what it takes to be a champion jockey.
Event Sponsors DKM Group, Goodyear Autocare, Davbridge Constructions, Jewell Scaffolding, Quinn & Scattini Lawyers, Insight Group, Albert & Logan News and Mitre 10 Mega met with Legend race caller Wayne Wilson and listened to a live call of a race in the broadcast box as well as experiencing the excitement and privileges of a race day sponsor.
