FBAA Inaugural Race Day - Doomben
The Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) staged their inaugural race day at Doomben on Saturday 4 August 2007.
FBAA Queensland State President Chris Szigetti was on hand to welcome the race day sponsors La Trobe Financial, Cashflow Finance, Insurance Advisernet before MC Cameron Partington entertained guests with trivia, sweeps and prizes.
Guests attending the private function held in the Chief De Beers room which provided panoramic views of the race course were treated to tours of the Starting Barriers, met Wayne Wilson and listened to live broadcast of a race in the broadcast box, Group 1 winning Jockey Tony Patillo also joined the FBAA crowd to provide guests with more insight into what it takes to be a jockey.
Many lucky punters walked away winning the sweeps and which included dinner vouchers to the Pineapple Hotel. Success was also had in the FBAA Punters Club which won $800 and eight lucky guests walked away with $100 each for their $10 investment.
